The First Person on Scene course is a BTEC level 2 Intermediate course that is HSE approved and covers Basic and Intermediate first aid response. You do not have to be a qualified first aider as this 5 day course will instruct you how to deal with an emergency from the initial moments through to handing over the responsibility to the trained medical services. In a remote or hostile area having the knowledge and confidence to react quickly, calmly and effectively can make all the difference.
The topics that will be covered are:-
- Patient Assessment
- Airway Management
- Respiration and ventilation
- Basic Life Support
- Circulation and shock
- Trauma Related Emergencies
- Automated external defibrillation
The course contains both theoretical assessments and practical modules and is delivered in the classroom and in specific training areas. The course is held at our modern dedicated training facility at Stansted Airport UK and due to the unique location we can accommodate delegates from all over the world.
